Anglophonic literature with emphasis on Shakespeare and English Renaissance.  I also studied Japanese, Spanish, and German. Awarded numerous department citations and scholarships. Dean’s List.

Distinguished with Highest Honors in both majors, writing theses on Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet” and Brecht’s “Jakob Apfelböck,” respectively.  The focus of my studies in the English department was on Shakespearean Theater, studying with Professor Stephen Booth, who served as my second thesis advisor.

I won the Judith Stronach Award for poetry, Berkeley’s largest award for a single poem, twice and the Phelan Award, given by the English department for exemplary performance in the discipline. Dean’s List.

 

Skills

I am an accomplished poet and an award-winning blogger.  I have had several reviews published in Rain Taxi and online journals and blogs.  I edit and publish chapbooks and a bi-monthly poetry journal through my press, Stormy Petrel Press.  I curate readings and performances in the San Francisco Bay Area for the Mission Arts and Performance Project and Oakland Parks and Recreation at Studio One Art Center, among others.

As a graphic designer and illustrator, my work has been published in several countries including China, Israel, France, and Germany.  I am proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.  I speak German fluently.
